Georgeous Cars Auctioning in Scottsdale

With a body reminiscent of many curvaceous French cars designed between the World Wars, The French Connection is powered by a huge Italian-made V12 engine.This one-of-a-kind custom car was the final project of legendary car customizer Boyd Coddington, who died in 2008. ( car pictured above)

With only three ever produced, this was the most successful drag-racing version of the Shelby Cobra. It was originally built as a standard 289 Cobra. A short time later, it was purchased by a Pennsylvania owner who decided to use it for drag racing, something that required major modifications.

To make it stand out, the car was painted with 31 coats of fuchsia metallic paint. After a successful drag-racing career, the car went through several owners — and several paint jobs — before ultimately being restored to its championship appearance.

The Miura is often cited as the originator of the modern supercar concept. It carried its 385-horsepower V12 engine close behind the occupants’ seats. It could could go from zero to 60 miles an hour in 5.8 seconds, an astonishing time for that era.

By 1971, some of the Miura’s tricky handling flaws had been ironed out, making these later cars especially desirable.

Only five of these special Fiat 600s were ever built and this is the only one that still survives. They were made to take visiting dignitaries and celebrities on tours of the Fiat factory in Torino, Italy. This car has a removable Plexiglas roof that allowed visitors a comfortable all-around view in any weather

This LeMans Berlinetta was designed especially for high-speed endurance racing. This particular car was originally owned by the American race car driver and race team owner Briggs Cunningham. He planned to race the car and, so, requested some specific performance modifications. This car is expected to sell for roughly $6 million.
